Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze, from a feminist perspective, the importance of women for the Victorian Literature concerning issues linked to their literary production, as well as to their representation in fiction. This discussion will also deal with the double standard of literary criticism of the hegemonic male tradition in relation to the writers of the female tradition which was in its beginning.
